Art Department faculty are committed to their advising responsibilities and to assisting students in developing careers in studio art, art education, graphic design and other student interest areas. Small classes allow faculty to encourage students to resolve aesthetic, intellectual, and technical problems through experimentation, informed sensitivity and awareness as well as to develop a professional attitude with regard to their creative solutions and goals.
Making friends and getting involved is easy at Appalachian. Student organizations include the Student Art League, AIGA|ASU (American Institute of Graphic Art) Student Chapter, Arts Management Organization (AMO), and the NAEA (National Association of Art Educators) Student Chapter. |
