The Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design Area services all five degree tracks offered by the Department of Art. We offer students a full range of metalsmithing and jewelry design experiences in both traditional and non-traditional media. There are five levels of Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design classes. We focus on providing a framework for traditional instruction in techniques and processes combined with an emphasis on developing the individual student's voice through the creation of original work.
